At Authit, we prioritize the privacy of your data and your users' information. This policy describes how we handle personal and technical data to ensure a secure verification experience.

1. Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate our verification service, including:
• Account Information: Your name, email address, and contact details.
• Transactional Data: Phone numbers or email addresses used for verification, and the delivery channel (WhatsApp, Email, SMS).
• Technical Logs: IP addresses of API requests, timestamps, and delivery status for debugging purposes.

2. Data Security Standards

Security is at the core of our platform. We implement the following standards:
• Encryption: All data in transit is protected using TLS/SSL protocols.
• Hashed Codes: OTP codes are stored in a hashed format so they cannot be read even by our own staff.
• Access Control: Access to delivery logs is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by API keys and 2FA.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

We never sell your data. We only share technical data with our infrastructure partners to provide the service:
• Meta (WhatsApp Business API): For WhatsApp message delivery.
• ZeptoMail / SMTP: For email delivery services.
• Payment Processors (PayPal): To process financial transactions without storing your card details on our servers.

4. Data Retention

We retain API transaction logs for a period of 30 days for debugging and technical support purposes. After this period, data is anonymized and archived for general statistical reporting.
